About Jo

I am passionate about exercise and promoting overall wellbeing and I believe Pilates and Yoga are safe, low impact and highly effective ways to strengthen and streamline the body as well as calming and stimulating the mind.
Pilates is the perfect complement to cardiovascular exercise, athletic training or rehabilitation as it helps develop optimal endurance and posture without building bulk or stressing joints.

I attended Stott Pilates classes to strengthen my body whilst teaching dance classes in Hinchley Wood and Claygate. It made such a difference to my overall health and wellbeing that I was inspired to train as an instructor. Following an intensive training course in 2014 in London, I was delighted to qualify as a Certified Stott Pilates Instructor. Since then I have also completed my Classical Pilates teacher training in 2022 with renowned instructor Alison Salmond.
My passion for Yoga started when I realised I needed to totally switch off from the pressures of everyday life. Yoga helped me become a lot more mindful and always challenged me in many ways. Since my love for Yoga grew I then spent a year completing The British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course and following on from that I then went on to become a fully qualified 300 hour British Wheel of Yoga Teacher (2019) as well as a fully qualified Restorative Yoga Teacher with Anna Ashby (2020).

From a young age my exercise of choice was dance, this lead me to follow my passion and study at Esher College, The Royal Academy of Dance and ultimately at Bath Spa University where I gained a BA (Hons) in Dance.

About Siobhan

Siobhan was introduced to the benefits of Pilates after she was motivated to get strong after the birth of her two children.

She qualified with Body Control Pilates in 2002 and further training on apparatus has allowed her to follow a classical route with her teaching and self practice. Siobhan has been teaching for over 20 years and used to own and run Surbiton Pilates Studio.

She says, “I love Pilates because it really works if done religiously and deliberately. I like to use various small props and balls to assist the targeting of specific muscles and patterns of movement with everyone . I am meticulous with my clients to ensure that they have good knowledge and achieve progress that influences every day of their lives. As a teacher there is always something new which is highly motivating and I have a very inclusive nature and am passionate about effects of this method on both the mind and body.”

About Hannah

Hannah started practicing Reformer Pilates in 2016 after suffering from consistent back pain in her early 20s. She was immediately hooked and this practice led her to start yoga too. A combination of both disciplines took the back pain away, and for the first time in Hannahs life she was amazed to have found two forms of exercise she enjoyed…since then she has never looked back!

Hannah trained with STOTT Pilates and has been teaching for the past 2 years in a variety of different settings. She is passionate about the mind body connection, the power of breath when used with movement and using Pilates as a tool to prevent injury and complement busy life styles.
